Each day in February I'm hitting the water for SurFebruary and raising funds for cancer research at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
The reality is that 1 in 2 of us will be affected by cancer in our lifetime.
That’s a pretty big statistic.
The good news is that we can make a tangible impact on how we treat cancer by contributing to innovative cancer research that benefits us all.
It only takes a minute to donate and anything you can give (no matter how big or small) will go a long way to helping people with cancer and their families.

Why I Said Yes to SurFebruary

SurFebruary felt like a simple, feel-good way to support a cause that affects so many Australians — our friends, families, and people living with cancer.
The challenge is to surf, swim, or splash every day in February. Some days the ocean is glassy and kind. Other days it’s cold, messy, or we are just… not really feeling it. And honestly? That’s kind of the point.
For people living with cancer, showing up each day can mean facing uncertainty, discomfort, and plans that change without warning. This challenge is a small reminder that you don’t need perfect conditions to keep going — consistency matters.
By taking part in SurFebruary, alongside my team, I’m helping raise funds for the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, supporting cancer research and patient-centred care that truly makes a difference.
