WHY I'M DOING IT
Each day in February I'm hitting the water for SurFebruary and raising funds for cancer research at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
I currently run a cancer program to establish australia’s first aboriginal oncologist (yep, first!) and with recently losing my pops to a battle with leukaemia, this project hits home all the more.
The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse was responsible for saving the life of a dear friend of mine who battled bowel cancer. So i can’t think of a better charity to raise money for. Also, i could use all the help i could get on the waves 😉
It only takes a minute to donate and anything you can give (no matter how big or small) will go a long way to helping people with cancer and their families.

Thursday 8th Jan you absolute legends- laboratory processing of 10 patient biopsies or roughly 15 blood samples for research study.
- It can buy about one month's supply of growth media (the "food" for cancer cells) for a small research project.
