My breast cancer has changed my life so l want to help others
Each day in February I'm hitting the water for SurFebruary and raising funds for cancer research at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
The reality is that one in two of us will be affected by cancer in our lifetime. That’s a pretty big statistic.
That reality hit me hard in May 2025.
Everything in my life changed from the day of diagnosis, and from the first surgery to the second and the continual medical oncology treatments my life has faced many challenges. I hope to better manage my fatigue and improve my recovery by participating and raising much needed awareness and funds. The ongoing research has increased my survival rate and fast tracked my progress.
The good news is that we can make a tangible impact on how we treat cancer by contributing to innovative cancer research that benefits us all.
