Each day in February, Bec and Shell are hitting the water for SurFebruary to raise funds for cancer research at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
This cause is incredibly close to our hearts. Bec’s brother, Pete, sadly passed away from cancer after being cared for at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. The compassion, dedication, and support provided there meant so much to Pete and to our family during an unimaginably hard time. Supporting this fundraiser is our way of honouring him and giving back to a place that does so much for people facing cancer.
The reality is that one in two of us will be affected by cancer in our lifetime — a confronting statistic. The good news is that we can make a tangible impact by supporting innovative cancer research that improves treatment, care, and outcomes for patients and their families.
