WHY I'M DOING IT

Each day in February I'm hitting the water for SurFebruary and raising funds for cancer research.

My wife, Teri, has been touched by Breast Cancer 3 years ago and now with Multiple Myeloma blood cancer. Teri is a most wonderful, caring, sharing, strong life-living woman. She is the devoted Mum of our 3 adult kids, and truly deserves happiness, health and longevity.

Whilst we are seperated for now, but I will always hold the deepest respect, appreciation and unique love for her. I choose to support her journey through cancer and research into finding cures by way of my natural connection to the ocean and its innate healing spirit.

Surfebruary aligns with this 🌊❤️

It only takes a minute to donate and anything you can give (no matter how big or small) will go a long way to helping people with cancer and their families.

I have created an Instagram page for the campaign where you can follow my attempts at daily ocean antics 😀🌊

Thank you, I really appreciate your support.

See you in the water!

My Updates

Currimundi Lake beach

Tuesday 24th Feb
Yay! Made it to the beach and body-surfed a few waves. Also had the entire beach to myself 😀🌊

Emily Seebohm Aquatic Centre

Monday 23rd Feb
Was working close to this pool today so good chance to do a few laps for SurFebruary 🙂

....pool is open though

Saturday 21st Feb
So its back to my apartment and laps of the pool instead 🙂

D'oh!! 🤦‍♂️🥴

Saturday 21st Feb
Had a few things to do in the City today. No worries, Brisbane has a 'City Beach' 🙂 Caught the bus across town, walked over the bridge across the river - beach is closed. WT*!!?? Oh well, lovely morning for a coffee 🤗

Woorim Beach

Wednesday 18th Feb
Yay! Finally made it to the beach after work. So much more natural healing energy than a chlorinated pool - but very grateful for the pools too ✨️ #woorimbeach

Albany Creek Leisure Centre

Tuesday 17th Feb
Beach too far from work today so doing laps in my local suburban pool instead. Water is nice 🙂

After work beach time 🤗

Sunday 15th Feb
Time for quick beach visit after work today. Hey! Who stole the sun from Sunshine Coast today 😀 Wet and windy but still love Mooloolabah #mooloolabahbeach #surfebruary

Margate Beach

Friday 13th Feb
Yep, a bit windy and choppy on the Redcliffe Peninsular this afternoon. Btw, the red shop in the background does great Fish & Chips 😀 #margatebeach

Rashie is loving the pools 🤣

Sunday 8th Feb
Back home to Brisbane after the week in Melbourne. Yep, pool again! Beaches next week 😀🌊☀️

Yep, pool again 🤗

Friday 6th Feb
I have been on a training course in Melbourne all week, hence substituting the pool for the beach. I can highly reccommend Carlton Baths ❤️

Pool day today.

Thursday 5th Feb
Could not make it to the beach so headed to the local pool instead 😀.
Still gave the SurFebruary rashie a good soaking 👍

Carlton Baths

Tuesday 3rd Feb
Wasn't able to reach the beach today so swapped it for the pool 🤗

Day 3. Carlton Baths

Tuesday 3rd Feb
Big day today, was up to engaging with crowded trams to the beach. Swapped for the pool instead.
I must say, Carlton Baths are great 🙂

Day 2. St Kilda Beach

Monday 2nd Feb

Lunar Park 😁

Monday 2nd Feb
Walking by Melbournes iconic amusement park on my way to St Kilda beach.

First beach of the month!

Sunday 1st Feb
Arrived in Melbourne from Brisbane and took tram straight to Port Melbourne Beach. Yup, somewhat colder than my usual haunts on the Sunshine Coast 😀

Good Advice!

Sunday 1st Feb
Just aw this on wall of airport toilet 😁 Seriously though, please all be mindful of dangers as we take to the waves each day for SurFebruary 🌊

Warm up Hike & swim 🙂

Monday 26th Jan
Did a 10km coastal hike from Noosa to Alexandria Bay and back. Followed by a moonlight swim at Noosa main beach.

Warming myself up for SurFebruary 😉🌊
