An Unlikely Way to Give Back
This February, I’m taking part in Surfebruary, getting in the water every day and surfing when I can to raise money for cancer research.
I’m doing this because health is deeply personal to me. As a mum of four, I think a lot about the kind of world we are building and the care we want to exist when life takes an unexpected turn. Cancer has touched people I love, and like most of us, I know how quickly “someone else” becomes someone close.
Surfebruary supports Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, whose work focuses on innovative cancer research and treatment. Research is what gives families more time, more options, and more hope. Supporting that work feels tangible and necessary.
Surfing is how I stay grounded and well. The ocean gives me perspective and strength, and being able to use something that sustains me to help others feels like the right thing to do.
If you are able to donate, even a small amount helps. Sharing this or simply cheering me on also means a lot.
Thank you for being part of this with me.
