WHY I'M DOING IT
Cancer, where do I start? It’s affected so many around me, including that of my own journey.
A gruelling 18 months of tests/scans/ultrasounds/biopsies abundant and treatment and surgery. It’s incredibly taxing on our mental health, and those around us.
I’m here to see my children grow and succeed in life. Those before me have lost that choice.
I’m doing this not only for a personal reason and achievement but for my close family and friends going through differing diagnosis/treatments of their own currently.
So please, broken ribs in tow…follow me on my self discovery and help me raise much needed funds.
Every day I’ll post a photo! May not be the board in the water, but myself instead. Let’s do this together!
Each day in February I'm hitting the water for SurFebruary and raising funds for cancer research at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
The reality is that one in two of us will be affected by cancer in our lifetime. That’s a pretty big statistic. The good news is that we can make a tangible impact on how we treat cancer by contributing to innovative cancer research that benefits us all.
It only takes a minute to donate and anything you can give (no matter how big or small) will go a long way to helping people with cancer and their families.
Thank you, I really appreciate your support.
See you in the water!
