WHY I'M DOING IT
Each day in February I'm hitting the water for SurFebruary and raising funds for cancer research at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
The reality is that one in two of us will be affected by cancer in our lifetime. That’s a pretty big statistic. The good news is that we can make a tangible impact on how we treat cancer by contributing to innovative cancer research that benefits us all.
It only takes a minute to donate and anything you can give (no matter how big or small) will go a long way to helping people with cancer and their families.

Day 23 Cancer SUX but your Generosity Represents Hope & Love
Monday 23rd Feb23 days of turning up — even on the hard mornings.
Some days the ocean has been calm and kind. Other days it’s been wild, with bronze whalers cruising through and bull sharks reminding me how small we really are. But every single paddle out has meant something bigger.
This hasn’t just been about catching waves.
It’s been about commitment.
It’s been about courage.
It’s been about doing something for those who are fighting battles far tougher than a choppy line-up.
Because of you, we’ve raised $1,708 so far.
That number isn’t just a total — it represents generosity, love and hope.
There’ve been sore shoulders, early alarms, doubts… and then there’s been the community. The messages. The donations. The quiet support that keeps me going.
