WHY I'M DOING IT

It's that time of year again where we attempt to get out in the surf or water for everyday of Feb, raising money for cancer research at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse. This year looks a little different doing it from the bush - ditching the board for the pool!!
1 in 2 Aussies will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, so it's a cause very close to everyone. This year I'll be doing it for my beautiful Uncle who we lost a couple of months after his wedding in 2022, and again of course, for my bestie Abby and her family who lost their brother and son, Chris, and my beautiful friend Jack who lost his gorgy Mum.
If I have learnt anything from those we've lost it's that life is so bloody precious. There is something for being able to experience both happiness and heartbreak simultaneously, and it's so very human. And for those who continue to battle the grief of losing a loved one - there aren't words, just love ❤️
I'd looooove for anyone and everyone to get involved, whether thats joining in or donating to the cause!
