WHY I'M DOING IT
Hello, I’m Adilton. I’m doing SurFebruary because it’s a really good cause & it’s one way I can help.
I grew up in Fortaleza Brazil where the beach was my home. I started surfing at age 7 and soon I was skipping school to chase waves.
Surfing has taught me everything: From the beaches of Fortaleza to the World Surf League, to Big Wave surfing and the wild Pororoca river wave in the Amazon - I’ve learned that strength isn’t just in the body. It’s in the mind. In the breath. In the decision to paddle out, no matter what.
Please donate if you can. Too many people including young people, are being hit by this disease.
The reality is that one in two of us will be affected by cancer in our lifetime. The good news is that we can make a tangible impact on how we treat cancer by contributing to innovative cancer research that benefits us all.
It only takes a minute to donate and anything you can give (no matter how big or small) will go a long way to helping people with cancer and their families.
Thank you, I really appreciate your support.
See you in the water! 🤙
